What's Working

So I started this journey in mid-March 2009 at 272 lbs. I walked into the Weight Watchers office on a Friday morning, stepped up on the scale, and recommitted to being reasonable about my approach to weight and food.

I stated this blog in July 2009. I have attened a Weight Watchers meeting every week and have lost 25+ lbs. It's a good start!

What's working?
  • the accountablility of attending the meetings.
  • playing the game of finding the foods that meet the points values that I can eat in a day and lose weight.
  • finding ways to be more active
  • getting into clothes that haven't fit in a while.

I am seeing, feeling, and receiving positive feedback which increases my motivation to continue to stick to the program. The feedback and accountability that is built into the Weight Watchers system is what works for me.

  1. I am one of those people telling you how great you're doing and how inspirational you are. I'm looking forward to following your example and making the same positive changes to my health, too.

    keep writing!
